You can take the energy tax credit in 2009 and/or 2010 and you'll save money for years to come! According to the ENERGY STARŪ program, installing adequate insulation or adding a solar reflective roof can save you money on utility bills. And you'll be reducing your carbon footprint by using less oil, gas and electricity. |
Insulation Insulation is the most basic, cost-effective way to lower your home's energy usage and improve the comfort level of your home. Heat flows naturally from a warm place to a cooler space. In the winter, heated air will try to flow to an unheated garage, basement or attic. Conversely, in warm months, heat will try to flow from the outdoors into the cool interior of the home. The majority of this heat transfer in homes takes place in the attic. It's the role of insulation to prevent this unwanted circulation throughout your home. Combined with proper ventilation and a radiant barrier, proper insulation helps your home maintain a comfortable, uniform temperature throughout the year with significantly less use of heating and cooling systems. As a bonus, insulation can also act as a sound absorber, to help make your home quieter. |
Radiant Barrier Spray Blocks up to 80% of the Sun's Heat from Entering your Home |
Our radiant barrier spray is a high-tech coating called Heatbloc-Ultra. It has the highest emissivity rating of any liquid product on the market today of .19. And our new Ultra product has almost no odor and very low VOCs so it is an even more environmentally friendly product than our HeatBloc-75 at no additional charge. Characteristics include: Low emissivity, high reflectivity; Permeable, does not trap moisture; Does not block cellular or antennae signals as can occur with foil products. Heatbloc Ultra is an excellent investment, normally saves 10 - 15% of AC costs, improves comfort levels, improves efficiency of existing insulation and is the only economical way to retrofit radiant barrier to existing structures. Increase the value of your home. In the summer, this barrier will block up to 80% of the sun's radiant heat from entering your home through the attic. And in winter, the same barrier will reflect back up to 80% of the heat that tries to escape from your home through the attic. Yet unlike foil substrates, our radiant barrier spray can be applied in a matter of hours instead of days. It goes on evenly, with no gaps or holes. And because it is sprayed on, it can easily be applied to existing roofs. |
