About Us

Sandi (Sandi) Miles' background includes 12 years as an underwriter for United American Insurance. When the company relocated she returned to school and earned degrees in Early Education K-4th and Child Development as well as Certification in Deaf Studies and Certification to teach EASL/EAFL, including supplements for early childhood and business English.

The years following her employment in insurance, Sandi has spent her time as the general manager of a retail business and site coordinator for a non-profit providing after school care to at risk children. She also developed and teaches a sign language program for hearing children with the objective of tearing down the barriers. She currently teaches English at the Centro Cultural Costarricense Norteamericano in San Jose, CR. Sandi is the mother of two great adult sons and can lay claim to four of our 6 grand-children.

Doug Henry's background includes 10 years in telecommunications and a life long path of entrepreneurism. First, forming CSC, a business services telecommunications consulting firm in 1987, in 1993 the company expanded as a sales training, marketing and business consulting company. Ventures have include travel to and the importation of products to and from Costa Rica, a successful equipment acquisition and logistics business, the purchase and operation of a night club and restaurant, and building a small indie record label to name a few.

My current passion is enjoying Costa Rica and its much slower pace while focusing on environmentally related projects. My passion is creating jobs and putting people to work. I'm a father of two terrific grown adults; a son and a daughter. Between Sandi and I; we have 6 grand-children that range from 2 months to 16 years.
